               ACE Founder and President

Robert E. (Gene) Reynolds, Ed. D founded ACE Learning Centers in 2001 to better serve and help non-traditional students graduate high school. Gene served as an English and social studies teacher, department chair, assistant principal, Hazelwood East High School Principal, and Hazelwood School District Assistant Superintendent before his retirement from the Hazelwood School District in St. Louis County, MO. 

Gene has received many awards as an educator including the MASSP Robert C. Howe Service to Secondary Education, Distinguished Service to Education, and the Outstanding St. Louis Area Principal and Educator. Gene has served as an assistant professor teaching instructional leadership at Lindenwood University and often shares his expertise as a guest lecturer at St. Louis University, the University of Missouri St. Louis, and Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. During his tenure as the principal of Hazelwood East High School Gene was involved in the landmark U.S. Supreme Court Case Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeir.

In addition to his work at ACE, Gene also currently serves as President of the MO NCA-CASI State Committee of North Central Association, the accreditation commission for the National North Central Association, and is an active volunteer and member of the North St. Louis County community.
